2008 Student Art, Architecture
and Design Exhibition

The NCC Student Art, Architecture and Design Exhibition will open on Wednesday, April 30. The sprawling exhibition includes artworks in drawing, painting, ceramics, color, photography, architecture, interior design, graphic design and web design. Works from studio arts and architecture are hung in the NCC Art Gallery in the East Campus building. Graphic and web design images are located in the Art Wing immediately past the gallery. This year’s winner of the “SAADE Poster Competition” is Adrian Pardo. Runners–up are Robert Proto and Lisa Zakrzewski. “Best in Show in the Studio Arts” are awarded to Sara O’Connor for her abstract painting, Yvonne Wenicker for her painted portrait and Allegra Calderaro for her drawing of an urn. The juror for the “Best in Show in Studio Arts” was Sophia Gevas. Sophia is the Gallery Director at the “Gallery of Contemporary Art at Sacred Heart University”. The opening reception will be held on April 30 from 12:30–1:30. Awards and presentations will begin at 1:00 pm. The show closes May 22. The gallery hours are Monday–Thursday 9:00 am–9:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, closed on Sunday.
