Landscape, Advanced Digital Photography

I vividly remember walking into Norwalk Community College to sign-up for my first few classes. When asked which major I’d like to declare, I froze. I had no clue what to pick, so I left it as “Undeclared.” That day, I signed up for a couple of core classes, as well as a digital photography class with Joan Fitzsimmons, and a drawing class with Chris Durante. Little did I know that semester would have a big impact in shaping my education and my life. 3 years, 80 credits, and 2 degrees later, I still look back at those foundational classes as the spark which ignited my passion for art, design, and photography.

My experience at NCC has been nothing short of excellent. My time at this school helped me choose my career and take charge of my life. I believe I’ve set a good example for my family, being the first to attend and graduate from college. Overall my experience here has proven, not only to myself but also to those around me, that through hard work, one can achieve their goals.

I am now set to begin the second part of my education at SUNY Purchase. My future goals are to complete the BFA degree and to begin working in the graphic design field, preferably in editorial design.
