Admissions Standards

Admissions to Norwalk Community College is simple. You may Apply Online. We have forms that can be downloaded from our Application Package page, or you can come to the East Campus at 188 Richards Avenue and do it in person. In any case, we have tried to keep paperwork to a minimum.

NCC is an equal opportunity and equal access institution. Prospective students must complete placement testing, if necessary. Students who have completed English and/or math at a college level may be exempt from the placement test. If you have questions about placement testing, call the Admissions Office at (203) 857-7060.

Connecticut State Law requires that you submit proof that you have received Measles/Rubella vaccinations if you were born after 1956. Adequate immunization for measles entails two doses of vaccine, one of which must have been administered after 12/31/79. Immunization for rubella requires only one dose. If you are uncertain whether you have had the proper immunizations, please consult your physician. If you graduated from a Connecticut high school in 1999 or later, you do not need to provide immunization information.

We need proof of high school graduation or GED accreditation if you are applying to an NCC certificate or degree program or if you are seeking financial aid.
