Preparing a Life Experience Credit Portfolio for Business Technology Programs

The application for Life Experience may be obtained at the Admissions Office.

The requirements for the Life Experience Credit in the Business Technology Programs are as follows:

          1.  Address a letter of intent or purpose to:

                        Professor Maryann Schiff, Coordinator
                        Business Technology Programs
                        Norwalk Community College
                        188 Richards Avenue
                         Norwalk, CT 06854-1655

·         Review the NCC catalog or course number and description

·         Compare your acquired skills/experience with the program offerings.

·         Include in the letter the course number, title and number of credits that you wish to be granted.

·         Do not be bashful in writing about your accomplishments. Write a well documented and supportive letter.

 

2.  Include a letter of recommendation from your employer related to your application.

3.  Current Resume.

4.  Copy of your NCC Transcript.  Major should state:  Business Office Technology

 

Once that above 4 items are completed, place in a report (plastic cover) file booklet. Two copies are required.

Package must be reviewed before submitting the final package to the committee.
