Business Department

Overview

The Business Department offers Associate degrees and Certificate programs that are designed to prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges or to facilitate entry to the job market.  Business courses provide students with a foundation of knowledge in key business areas, in addition to core courses in science and liberal arts.

 

Areas of Specialization

In addition to foundation coursework, students select one of the following specializations:

• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Business Technologies
• Finance
• Hospitality / Culinary Arts
• Legal Assistant
• Management
• Marketing

 

Student Outcomes

With a degree or certificate in one of NCC’s business programs, students will be able to:

• Clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing
• Think critically, evaluate, analyze and resolve common business issues
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret an entity’s basic financial information
• Evaluate managerial and marketing problems and develop appropriate solutions
• Utilize business technology effectively
