Mission Statement
In recognizing the ever-increasing importance, complexity and global nature of financial decision-making, the overriding goal is to foster superior development for students currently in finance careers, and to provide the strongest possible training for students planning to transfer to four-year institutions.

Norwalk Community College's Finance and Banking Program offers students a theoretical foundation and a practical understanding of financial management, investments, banking and capital markets.

The curriculum includes accounting, business law, communications and economics.  A successful Cooperative Education Program is available to assist students in job placement.

Completion of the program leads to the Associate in Science Degree.  The credits earned in this program have a strong record of being easily transferred to four-year colleges and universities.

An Associate Degree in Finance and Banking from NCC helps to prepare graduates for careers in:

  • Banking
  • Investment Management and Advising
  • Investment Banking
  • Corporate Financial Management
  • Credit Management
  • Insurance
  • Real Estate
  • Foreign Trade Finance
  • Small Business
  • Non-Profit Organizations

NCC's Finance and Banking Program recruits its faculty members from the world of finance.  As a result, professors bring a wealth of experience and practical knowledge to the Program.  The curriculum is reviewed by senior executives, financial officers and entrepreneurs in Fairfield County.  This helps keep the Program current and fresh.
