Otmar Boser

Professor Boser teaches courses in Cisco Networking, Digital Logic and Microprocessor. He also has taught Physics and Mechanics and Electrical courses at Queens College, New York University and Westchester Community College. He worked as a senior scientist for more than 25 years at various major electronics companies. Dr. Boser earned a Ph. D. in solid-state physics from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Patrick Cassidy

Professor Cassidy is the Program Coordinator for the Computer Security degree.  He teaches networking courses at NCC. He was previously employed as a project assistant by the University of Michigan and taught at Westchester Community College. He has an A.S. degree from Westchester Community College, a B.S. from Emory Aeronautical University and an M.S. from Polytechnic University. He is a CCAI (Cisco Certified Academy Instructor) and a CFII (Certified Flight Instructor- Instruments).

Tom Duffy

Professor Tom Duffy is the Chair of the Computer Science Department and the Program Coordinator for the Information Technology and Computer Systems Technology degrees.  He teaches courses in Web Development, XML, and Java. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Master of Arts degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Western Connecticut State University. He is the owner of Bright Moments Software - a software company specializing in Web Technologies.

Chuck Gabor

Proessor Gabor teaches Visual Basic Programming, C++ Programming, A+ Computer Repair course and the four CISCO networking courses. Before joining the NCC faculty, he was a Lieutenant/Senior Military Instructor at the United States Naval Academy. Prior to that, he was a Software Engineer for Pitney Bowes Inc. He is currently working toward a doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) at Southern Connecticut State University. He holds B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of New Haven and a B.S. degree in Applied Science from Charter Oak State College. He is a member of the Honor Society in Computing Sciences, UPSILON PI EPSILON, and a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Naval Reserve.

Charles Hornung

Professor Hornung has more than 20 years of experience developing, installing, and maintaining a wide variety of database applications across a host of database platforms. His experience includes application development for manufacturing and distribution firms in both the domestic and international arena. As an independent consultant, he has presented educational seminars nationwide for information and financial executives on a wide variety of subjects. These seminar topics include decision support systems utilizing data warehousing, JIT manufacturing, and a range of other integrated financial and software applications. Professor Hornung earned a B.A. from the University of South Florida, an M.A. in Economics from Wayne State University, and has done post-graduate studies in computer science at Pace University.  He is the program coordinator for the Information Systems degree.
