Welcome to the Tutoring Center

 

The NCC Tutoring Center is a comfortable academic environment where students may come to receive extra help and support in their classes. Students are guided to think logically and work out problems, improving their understanding of the material.

 

Don't wait until the last minute to get the help that you need! Come to the Tutoring Center at any of the scheduled times; no appointment is needed, and you may come as often as you like.

 

The Tutoring Center is located in Room 110, West Campus. The Fall and Spring Semester hours are as follows:

Monday - Thursday: 9:30 am to 9:00 pm

Friday: 9:30 am to 2:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Sunday: Closed

What Our Tutors Do

• They will help you to understand key concepts and provide assistance with homework.
• They will ask questions to help you think through problems.
• They will explain things in other ways if you tell them that you do not understand.

What Our Tutors Cannot Do

• Although they can supplement classroom instruction, tutors cannot teach new material when you have missed class.
• Tutors cannot do your homework for you.
• Tutors will not help with take-home exams.
