Cris Dam | Urban Landscapes

URBAN LANDSCAPES, an installation by Cris Dam opens at the NCC Art Gallery on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Dam states that within his paintings “there is a fight against perfectionism…I am faulted yet strive to have control over my paintings and create completeness distinct from my limitations as the creator. My paintings inherently teeter between balancing refined technique and being the product of a human shaking hand.” An artist’s talk and reception will be held on Wednesday, October 7 from 5:30–7:30 pm. The show closes October 31. The gallery hours are Monday–Thursday 9:00 am–9:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, closed on Sunday.
